Our Mission
Founded by Ricky Tsang, the Hong Kong International Music Competition for Young Pianists had been held in 2014 and 2019,
with great success in bringing together and it has been our privilege to share their views on piano playing.Again, our missions are to find new talents in the field of piano music, to provide international exchange of performing arts and the artistic connections,
to promote classical piano music as an important part of cultural education of the younger generation and to support young talented pianists at the outset of their career.

Young Artist Age 15-17 Free Programme, Up to 12 minutes
Senior Age 11-14 Free Programme, Up to 10 minutes
Junior Class Age 8-10 Free Programme, Up to 7 minutes
Children Age 6-7 Free Programme, Up to 5 minutes
Pre-Junior Age 5 or below Free Programme, Up to 3 minutes

Judging Criteria
A panel of our guest artist jury members will observe the performance and assign points out of 100 based on specific criteria as below:
1. Interpretation and Performance
2. Quality of Sound
3. Technical Accuracy
4. Artistry
Scores will be summed and contestants ranked in order by Organization Committee, and the final scores will be presented to the Jury and hold an After-Competition Online Meeting by Artistic Director and the jury shall discuss the final scores and may declare the winner to be the candidates with the highest score, or, by agreement, change the result. This is to ensure that over-reliance on numerical scoring does not yield an incorrect winner. The final decision will be published in the competition official website.
How to Apply – Applicants and Application Fee
Applicants will need to submit the application by ONLINE only
1. Complete the online application form
2. A recent, high definition photograph (either in black or colour) which could be used in all publicity material
3. A non-refundable application fee must be paid and payment should be made by ONLINE.
4. Acknowledgment of Parental Authorization for participants who are under the age of 18 years old.
A complete application should be submitted ahead of the due date.
If there is issue(s) with the application, such as a photo is not attached, sections of the form are not completed, an incomplete online payment, then the application will be considered as a failure.
